Enscape Consulting has provided many research projects aimed at identifying circular economy opportunities on a regional basis, including Dumfries and Galloway, the Scottish Borders, Perth, Kinross and the wider Tayside area, and most recently, for Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire (2024). 

Enscape was contracted to carry out research to help:

• Establish current awareness/understanding of the circular economy.
• Identify the level of ambition within enterprises to take forward circular models.
• Look to recognise any existing circular economy activity already underway in different regions.

Findings from the research have been used to support business and enterprise sectors to become more profitable and resource-efficient, feeding into support offered by different agencies to local businesses and enterprises by:

• Creating tailored business, enterprise and community support.
• Informing planning processes and strategies for the regions.
