An estimated 185,000 tonnes of fish and shellfish processing by-products are available for valorisation across Scotland.

Enscape Consulting have worked for clients such as Zero Waste Scotland, Marine Scotland and Opportunity North East to map and identify waste and by-product flows from capture fishing and aquaculture.  Through quantitative and qualitative research methods we have considered how these can be turned into valuable resources, improving the bottom line for Scotland’s fish processing industry. 

We have engaged with international organisations that are deriving value from by-products, and identified how infrastructure can be developed to process these at scale, with opportunities to do so that result in net zero outcomes.
