Enscape Consulting supported Orkney Islands Council in the development of a business case for preferred waste management infrastructure. This project evaluated options in terms of residual waste and organics waste treatment and recommended a preferred way forward. Thermal treatment, anaerobic digestion and in vessel composting options were evaluated after a signficant stakeholder engagement and evaluation process during 2019.
