The BBC programme "Drowning in Plastic" described vividly why we work in the environmental field. The impact of litter on marine environments is truly awful, but there is so much we can do to improve this. 

The Encape team were really happy to participate in the litter pick on Stonehaven beach organised by "Surfers against sewage North East Scotland". This is a great organisation and the day was incredibly positive with huge amounts of litter (fishing gear, drink containers etc etc) safely collected and removed.
